Blistering speed. Zero bloat.

Most modern text editors ship with an entire web browser tucked inside, chewing through your battery and memory. MDizzle is engineered lean. It opens instantly, navigates massive .md files without stuttering, and stays out of your way.

Local-first. Your files stay yours.

We don’t want your data, and we don’t host your files. MDizzle reads and writes directly to your local folders. Want cloud sync? Drop your files in your existing Dropbox, iCloud, or Git repo. MDizzle handles local file changes seamlessly.

Modern power under retro hoods

Full GitHub Flavored Markdown, fenced code block syntax highlighting for dozens of languages, smart auto-pairing quotes and brackets, keyboard-driven navigation, and a one-click formatting bar.

The “pay once” philosophy

Software used to be a tool you bought and kept in your digital toolbox. MDizzle rejects the rent-seeking subscription economy. One fair price gets you the app and all future version updates. No recurring fees, no surprise tier changes, no lockouts.

The MDizzle Manifesto

“It does what it says on the box.”

Somewhere along the way, typing plain text became complicated. Every app turned into a platform, every platform added social feeds and subscription tiers, and simple tools became bloated giants.

We built MDizzle because we missed software that had character, speed, and honesty. An editor that doesn’t ask for your phone number, doesn’t prompt you to upgrade to “Enterprise Workspace”, and doesn’t hold your notes hostage behind a server outage. Just a rock-solid tool that respects your computer and your wallet.

FAQ

Does MDizzle require an internet connection?

No. MDizzle runs entirely on your device. You can write, preview, and edit in the middle of nowhere without losing functionality. (Only images linked from the web need a connection to show up.)

What formats does MDizzle support?

MDizzle edits and views .md, .markdown and plain .txt files, following CommonMark and GitHub Flavored Markdown.

How does sync work?

Because MDizzle writes standard files straight to your file system, it works with whatever sync service you already use: iCloud Drive, Nextcloud, Dropbox, OneDrive, or a Git repository. If a file changes while it’s open, MDizzle loads the new version when you switch back to it, and asks first if you were in the middle of editing.

Are there really no recurring fees?

None. You pay once when you download it, and it’s yours to keep.
