Common questions

How do I switch between writing and the finished page?

Use the slider at the top: Editor, Split (side by side, on wider screens) and Preview. On a computer: Ctrl+1, Ctrl+2, Ctrl+3 (⌘1–⌘3 on a Mac).

Does MDizzle save automatically?

Yes, once a document has been saved somewhere, every change is saved as you type. A brand-new document asks where to save it the first time.

How do I change the theme?

Tap the palette button at the top right and choose a theme. Import Theme… in the same menu adds a theme file someone shared with you.

Can I make my own theme?

Yes. A theme is a small text file (JSON) that sets colours and fonts. The easiest start is to copy an existing theme and change the colours, then use Import Theme….

Why don't images next to my document show on my phone?

Phones only let an app open the file you picked, not the other files in its folder. Images from the web (an https:// address) work everywhere.

How do I open a Markdown file from another app?

In your file manager, email or cloud storage app, open the .md file and choose MDizzle from the "Open with" list.
